Description
The Belson Monument is a tomb chest located approximately 15 metres south of the chancel of the Church of St Mary and St Nicholas. It dates from the late 18th century and commemorates Hannah, the wife of Richard Belson, who died in 1791. The monument is made of limestone and features a moulded plinth, corner pilasters with cabled fluting, and a lid with a moulded edge and stepped corners. An inscription is present on the north side.
