Description

This is a barn located to the right of Dungates Farm House, dating from the 16th century, with an 18th-century bay added at one end. It features a timber frame set on a cemented brick plinth, with weatherboard cladding and a roof made of corrugated asbestos. Originally, the barn had three framed bays with central opposing entries, which are now positioned to the left of centre. The old bays include gunstock posts and arched bracing in the wall frame, while the end bay has corner tension bracing.
