Description
Pinkhurst Farm House is a house dating from the 16th century, with a 17th-century cross wing to the left and 20th-century extensions to the ends and rear. It features a timber frame set on a sandstone rubble plinth, with brick underbuilding on the ground floor, brick infilling above, and red and blue chequerwork brick on the left side. The roofs are plain tiled, with a hip and gablet on the right side. The building has a T-shaped plan and is two storeys high, with attics in the left cross wing, which has two gabled dormers and raised eaves. There are multiple stacks on the front ridge to the right, with additional stacks to the left and rear. The windows have irregular diamond panes, including one 3-light window on each floor of the wing, one 3-light window under the left gable, and two 2-light windows on the first floor to the right. The ground floor features one 5-light window left of center, along with one 4-light and one 2-light window to the right. A 20th-century brick and timber gabled porch is located to the right of center, with a 20th-century, four-centre arched head and a ribbed door leading to the lobby entry. The right end has a pentice, and the rear displays irregular fenestration with exposed framing and arched bracing to the right, along with a gabled brick wing to the right.
