Description
Wheldon headstone, located approximately 8 metres east of the chancel of the Church of St Giles, is a monumental headstone from the late 18th century. It commemorates John Wheldon, who died in 1764, and Martha Wheldon, who died in 1778. The headstone is made of limestone and features a scrolled top that is intricately carved with leaves and flowers, an hourglass, a skull, and a book.
