Description
The Withies Inn is a public house that dates back to the 16th century and originally features a two-bay design with an end chimneystack. It was altered and extended by one bay in the 18th century, refenestrated in the 19th century, and has 19th-century one-bay extensions at either end. The building is timber-framed, refaced in render, and has a tiled roof with two end chimneystacks. It stands two storeys high and has three windows. The two left-side bays are from the 16th century, while the end bay is an 18th-century extension. The original part has 19th-century casements, and the 18th-century extension features a 20th-century window. There is a brick penticed porch, and one-storey 19th-century additions are present at each end. Inside, the building has exposed chamfered ceiling joists and two open fireplaces, with the right-side fireplace featuring two seat alcoves.
