Description

House. Dating from the early 17th century, it is timber-framed with a rendered plinth and whitewashed brick infill, covered by a plain tiled roof. The house has an L-shaped plan with a gabled wing to the left. It is two storeys high. A triple corbelled stack rises from the ridge of the gabled wing. The windows are irregular diamond-pane, leaded casements; there are two first-floor windows to the left, one three-light casement on the ground floor. To the right are three first-floor casements, with one casement on the ground floor below. A 20th-century door is located to the right of centre, set within a recessed brick porch which has full-length windows on either side. A single-storey extension is attached to the right end. The left-hand return front, which was the original entrance front, features part-square panel framing and four first-floor casements, with two below. A pentice roof extension extends from the left end.
