Description

Rockwork Grotto, located 40 meters south-south-west of Merrow Grange, was built around 1907 by James Pulham and Son. It is constructed from Pulhamite stone, which consists of clinker covered with Portland cement, along with sandstone blocks and earth. The grotto features a kidney-shaped recess with stepped flanking walls and an irregular arched entrance. It is one of several garden features in the grounds of Merrow Grange, which is included in the Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in England as Grade II.
