Description
This building is a garage, constructed around the 1920s as a prefabricated motor car house by the firm Boulton and Paul Ltd. It features redwood framing and timber weatherboarding, with additional iron and steel supports for the roof trusses and frame. The roof is covered in metal sheeting.
The motor car house has a gabled roof and is designed with weatherboarding. The upper part of the structure is adorned with half-timber overlays, creating the look of traditional timber-framing. On the south elevation, there are two boarded double doors, while the east and west elevations each have a four-light window; the inner lights are fixed, and the two outer lights are casements. The eaves are decorated with bargeboards, and the ridge of the roof features fretwork and finials.
