Description
A former stable block, now a house, located in Normandy. The building dates from the mid-18th century, with extensions added in the 20th century. It is constructed of red brick, with some blue brick headers, and has plain tiled roofs that are hipped, with a lower profile to the ends. The central three-bay block is flanked by three-bay extensions to the right. The centre and left portions of the building are two storeys high, while the right portion is single-storey with an attic space beneath a central, hipped-roofed projection. A brick plinth is visible, along with a plat band above the ground floor on the centre and left. The centre of the building features dentilled brick eaves. A square, central wooden turret rises above the main structure, capped with a square, ogee top and a weathervane, with louvred faces below. A stack is located to the rear right. The first floor has three sash windows in the centre and a further three sash windows to the left. The ground floor has three arched sash windows in the centre, with arched, double doors to the left of the centre, set within a flat Tuscan pilaster surround and topped by a keystone fanlight in an architrave surround. Two casement windows are present on the ground floor to the right.
