Description

Rockworks and pond located approximately 80 metres south-west of Merrow Grange were created around 1907 by James Pulham and Son. The structure is made of Pulhamite stone, which consists of clinker with Portland cement poured over it, along with some sandstone blocks and earth. The rocks are randomly laid around a pond that features an island in its centre. This rockworks and pond are part of several garden features within the grounds of Merrow Grange, which is included in the Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in England as Grade II. The site is now situated within the grounds of Fairlawns, Lauston Close, just 8 metres south of Fairlawns.
