Description

Foot Bridge House is a house dating to the 17th century, with extensions added in the early 19th century. The rear left elevation shows timber framing with whitewashed brick infill, while the front is clad in whitewashed roughcast under plain tiled roofs. It was originally a house of a half-H shape, with a central recess that was filled in during the early 19th century. The outer gabled bays are two storeys high with attics; the bay to the left is blocked and has a painted false window. The front facade is symmetrical, featuring a central bowed bay. There are arched, 12-pane glazing bar sash windows in the outer bays on the first floor, and a central first-floor casement. The ground floor has 12-pane glazing bar sash windows. A half-glazed door sits centrally, flanked by casements within a moulded wooden surround featuring corner rosettes and a flat roof above. The house has end stacks to the right, set back, and rear stacks to the left.
