Description
The Bell House is a former stable that has been converted into housing. It dates from the early 19th century and has undergone some alterations in the 20th century, including changes to the ground floor windows and the addition of a porch. The front is finished in stucco, while the other sides are made of painted brick, topped with a hipped slate roof and stuccoed chimneystacks. The building is two storeys high and features seven windows. A pediment crowns the central three windows, which includes a clock face. The roof is adorned with a square open bell turret supported by four columns, also featuring a hipped slate roof and a cast iron weathervane. The eaves have a paired bracket cornice. The windows are 12-pane sashes throughout, with the ground floor windows replacing former garage doors. There is a 20th-century porch with double doors.
