Description

The Old Slaughter House is a 17th-century barn, later converted into the Frazer-Carver gallery. It is constructed with a timber frame on a brick plinth. The right-hand return front wall has been rebuilt in brick, and the front is clad in weatherboard. The roof is tiled and hipped to the left. A central plate glass window is approximately 10 feet high, and there is a door at the right end. The interior features three framed bays with Queen-post trusses.
