Description

Rose Cottage is a 17th-century cottage with 19th-century alterations, located in Thames Ditton, Elmbridge. It is timber framed with a brick plinth and weatherboard cladding, topped with a plain tiled roof. A ridge stack is positioned on the right side. The cottage has two storeys and an attic space, with two flat-roofed, weatherboarded dormers. There are three glazing bar sash windows on the first floor; two are set in 18th-century architrave surrounds, while the left-hand window is from the 19th century. A boarded door with a transome light is centrally located. The left return front features incised render, and a stack is present at the rear. A catslide extension is attached to the rear.
