Description
Manor Vane is a former stable block to a manor house, now functioning as a house. It was built in 1766 and has undergone significant alterations in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of whitewashed brick and features a hipped plain tiled roof. There is a front stack to the right and a central stack at the rear. It has two storeys with brick dentil eaves and consists of five bays, with the centre three bays set in a pedimented break that includes a round window in the tympanum. The first floor has four 19th-century casement windows that align with the eaves band. To the left, there are double plank doors. There is a single-storey addition at the centre with a felt roof, featuring a half-glazed door under a gabled porch hood supported by wooden posts at the left end. Additionally, there is a 19th-century slate pentice roof addition on the ground floor to the right. A weathervane over the pediment is dated 1766.
