Description

The Chapel Ruins are located in the grounds of Painshill Park in Cobham and date from the late 18th century. The structure is built of red brick, which has been rendered, although the render is now decayed. It features a three-bay wall that stands two storeys high, with corner towers set at 45 degrees. The first floor has arched window openings with Y tracery, and there is a plat band above the ground floor. The central ground floor has a wider arched door. The former rear walls and roof have collapsed, and the chapel was undergoing renovation at the time of the re-survey.
