Description

This is a late 18th-century house row with shops on the ground floor, located on High Street, Thames Ditton. The lower portion of the building is rendered, while the upper part is red brick with plain tiled Mansard roofs, and the roofline terminates at the street front. A stack is visible on the right side. The building is two storeys high, with an attic space lit by two flat-roofed dormers. The first floor has sash windows with glazing bars, set within gauged brick heads; four windows are present, with the central window blocked. Two 19th-century shop fronts are situated at ground floor level, each incorporating plate glass windows and raised boxes above. They both feature half-glazed doors at the inner ends. The central entrance to number 71a has a planked and panelled door with a transom light and a grill above.
