Description

Riverside is a house located in Thames Ditton, likely built around 1770. It features a rendered plinth with red brick above, showcasing some tuck pointing. The front elevation is constructed in Flemish bond, while the rear elevation uses Flemish garden wall bond. The house has a plain tiled mansard roof, which is partially hidden by a stone-coped parapet, and a ridge stack situated to the right.

The building has two storeys and an attic, with two flat-roofed dormers. To the right, there is an angled bay that extends across both floors, with glazing bar sash windows on each face, all under gauged brick heads. To the left, there is a half-glazed, leaded door set in a panelled reveal, topped by a flat porch hood supported by wooden brackets featuring zig-zag decoration.

Attached to the house are iron railings designed in a Roman spear style. A pitched roofed wing is present at the rear left, as indicated on the 1860 Ordnance Survey map. Inside, there are sliding shutters behind the panelling within the parlour bay.
