Description

The park walls surrounding Blenheim Park are designated as a Grade II structure. They were primarily built between 1722 and 1729 by William Townesend and Bartholomew Peisley, although they have medieval origins and have undergone later repairs. The walls are made of squared and coursed limestone, featuring canted coping. They enclose an area of medieval parkland and extend for approximately 14.5 kilometers. Blenheim Park is also recognized in the Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission Register of Parks and Gardens at Grade I.
