Description

The Nook is an early 19th-century house with later additions and alterations. It is constructed of roughly coursed limestone rubble with alternating angle quoins, and has a concrete tile roof with coped verges. The house is two storeys high. The front elevation features 16-paned glazing bar sash windows in plain stone surrounds with flush keystones on each floor, to the left and right of a central four-panel door, which is sheltered by a minimal porch. Integral end stacks have been rebuilt in concrete, above dripstones. A contemporary or slightly later lower range extends at right angles to the rear, on the left side. The building is included on the list for its group value.
