Description
99 High Street is a 17th-century house that has been converted into a shop. It is built from coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled stone slate roof with brick stacks at either end. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys tall, with a two-window range. A flat hood from the 18th century covers the central 20th-century door. The property also has 18th-century square bay windows with hipped roofs and timber lintels over early 19th-century eight-pane sash windows on the first floor. At the rear, there is a 17th-century three-light casement window, one of which has lattice diamond panes, along with an 18th-century two-storey bay that has a concrete tile roof and a mid-19th-century service extension. The interior features chamfered beams, and while the first floor has not been inspected, it is likely to be of interest.
