Description
No. 103 and 103A on High Street is a house that has been converted into a shop and dwelling. It was refronted around 1800 and in the 20th century. The building is made of coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled concrete tile roof, with brick stacks at the ridge and ends, and a truncated stone stack on the right end. The plan layout is not clear. It has two storeys and a four-window range, with a 20th-century shop front. To the left, there are 20th-century double doors set within an early 19th-century moulded wood architrave, which has a bracketed flat hood and a decorative overlight. The first floor has timber lintels over early 19th-century eight-pane sash windows. The interior and rear have not been inspected but are likely to be of interest. A 1968 listing mentions "early 18th century plaster ceiling ornament."
