Description
Bridge House is a house from the early 19th century, though it has earlier origins. It is constructed of squared and coursed limestone and features a hipped stone slate roof with a brick lateral stack at the rear. The building has an L-plan layout with a rear right wing and is two storeys high, comprising a two-window range. The central entrance consists of an early 19th-century six-panelled door with an overlight, framed by a plain architrave and topped with a bracketed flat hood. The windows are 8-pane sashes set in plain stone architraves, complete with relieving arches. There is a mid-19th-century bay window on the right side wall, and a two-storey bay of similar materials along with a mid-19th-century service range at the rear. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
