Description
Coldstone is a former mill and mill house dating from the mid to late 18th century, which was converted in 1970, as indicated by a datestone. The building is constructed of rubble, with part of the south wing made of coursed and squared stone, and features Cotswold stone roofs, one of which has coped verges. There are 20th-century chimneys.
The structure is L-shaped and consists of two distinct parts. The north wing is lower, has two storeys, and features three windows with modern casements. The ground floor windows have segmental heads, and there is a roughly central half-glazed door. At the rear, there are random pigeon holes located at the north-west corner.
The south wing, which faces the garden, has raised flat architraves with bead moulding and keys. This section is also two storeys high and has four windows with glazing bar sashes. There is a gabled chimney to the right of the center and a glazed door to the left of the center. The rear of this block has a similar blocked window and two 20th-century bull's-eye windows. The west gable features a tall segmental head stair window with leaded glazing. There are lower extensions to the east and west with irregular fenestration, and the left-hand part has a heavy beam on the ground floor.
