Description

This is a cottage, dating from around 1700, with alterations made circa 1800. The exterior is of rubble construction with a Cotswold stone roof. A brick chimney is located on the left side, and a 20th-century stone chimney is on the right. The cottage has a gable end facing the road, featuring a single stair-light window. It is two storeys high, with two windows. Dormers are present on the first floor, and the ground floor windows are 2- and 3-light casements with rough-hewn lintels. A ledged door is positioned off-centre to the left. A lean-to extension adjoins the left side of the building. Inside, the room on the right-hand side has a chamfered main beam with raised stops, a large, plain fireplace, and a newel staircase to the left.
