Description
This barn, located approximately 25 meters northeast of Chestlion Farmhouse, dates from the late 18th century and has seen minor alterations over the years. It is constructed from uncoursed limestone rubble and features an asbestos sheet roof. The barn has a wide set of double doors at the center, which are made of wood and have a lintel above. There is an opposing gabled cart entrance at the rear that has been infilled, along with an infilled doorway to the left and an infilled rectangular window opening to the right. Inside, the barn has a double-purlin roof supported by five bays, with collar and tie beam trusses and vertical struts extending from the tie beams to the principal rafters. The two right bays contain a loft.
