Description
Numbers 21 and 23 on Banbury Road are a farmhouse that has been converted into two dwellings, dating from the early 18th century. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled concrete tile roof. It has a ridge stack made of stone, which is finished in 20th-century brick, along with a 20th-century brick end stack. The structure has a three-unit plan, is two storeys high with an attic, and has a four-window range. To the left, there is a 20th-century gabled stone porch, and a timber lintel above a 20th-century door with late 19th-century brick jambs to the right. The windows are fitted with timber lintels over 20th-century casements, and there are three gabled roof dormers. The interior of No. 19 was not inspected. Additionally, there is an early 18th-century barn range to the right, which includes two threshing floors and is made of limestone rubble, featuring gabled roofs of asbestos sheet and corrugated iron, and is noted for its butt-purlin roof.
