Description

No. 28 and 28A on Corn Street is a house dating from the early to mid-18th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and has a stucco front. The roof is gabled and covered with concrete tiles, featuring brick stacks at the ends. The building has a two-unit plan, stands two storeys high with an attic, and has a two-window range. There is a 20th-century door with an overlight to the left of a 20th-century shop front. The first floor has early 19th-century eight-pane sash windows, and there are two gabled roof dormers with 20th-century casements. Inside, the building features cased beams.
