Description
15 and 17 Corn Street is a house that has been converted into two shops, dating from the late 17th century. The building is constructed of squared and coursed limestone and features a gabled concrete tile roof. It has a ridge stack made of stone, finished in 18th-century brick, and follows a three-unit through-passage plan. The structure is two storeys tall with an attic and has a six-window range.
The central entrance is a 20th-century door set in a pegged wood frame with an overlight above. To the left, there is a 20th-century shop front and door, while to the right, a late 19th-century bracketed cornice sits above a half-glazed door and a 20th-century shop window. On the first floor, timber lintels support late 17th-century cross windows that have 19th-century casements. Additionally, there is a gabled roof dormer featuring late 19th-century two-light casements.
