Description
No. 12 in Stanton Harcourt is a 17th-century house with an 18th-century extension to the left of the stack. It is constructed from limestone rubble, with uncoursed stone to the right and coursed stone to the left. The roof is half-hipped thatch with a brick ridge stack. The house has a three-unit plan and is one storey with an attic, featuring a three-window range. There are chamfered timber lintels above a central 20th-century door and a late 19th-century two-light casement window with plank shutters. To the left, there are timber lintels over 20th-century one- and two-light casements, and two late 19th-century gabled roof dormers. Inside, the right room has a cased beam and an open fireplace with a chamfered bressumer. This house is included for its group value.
