Description

This barn, located approximately 10 meters northwest of Bradshaws Farmhouse, dates back to 1750 and has undergone minor alterations since then. It is constructed from roughly coursed limestone rubble and features alternating angle quoins, topped with a stone slate roof that has coped verges. The south side has a central gabled cart entrance, with a corresponding entrance at the rear. This rear entrance includes nine tiers of pigeon nesting holes and ledges, along with a datestone marked "17850/EM" above a wooden lintel. There are also round-headed narrow rectangular air vents. The interior was not inspected during the last survey in May 1987, but it is likely to be of interest.
