Description
This granary, located approximately 20 meters west of The Mill, dates from the late 18th century. It features a timber-framed first floor with light framing and mid to late 19th century brick infill. The ground floor and left gable walls are constructed from coursed limestone rubble, topped by a gabled and half-hipped stone slate roof. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with two bays of framing. On the ground floor, there are two 20th century plank doors, and stone steps lead to a 19th century plank door in the right gable end. Inside, there is a waney-edged oak beam on the ground floor, along with a queen-post truss and grain bins in the first-floor granary.
