Description
This granary, now used as an office, was built in 1762. It features coursed squared limestone rubble and timber framing with brick infill, topped by a plain tile roof. The building has two storeys, with the road-facing side constructed of stone and an eaves cove. The upper floor is timber framed, and the rear wall jetties over a stone wall, leading to stone steps. The ground floor serves as a shed with a gable entrance. There is a half-dormer entrance in the rear wall and casement windows in the gables. A datestone in the gable is inscribed with "(I?)/MS/1762" within an ogee-arched panel. Inside, the granary has a four-bay roof with two rows of clasped purlins, although the trusses have mostly been altered.
