Description

House. Dated 1694, with later additions and alterations. The house is constructed of roughly coursed limestone rubble, with a stone slate roof and integral end stacks rebuilt in the late 20th century. It is two storeys and an attic, with a two-window front. It has two-light leaded casements with wood lintels and 20th-century shutters. Tie beam ends are visible below the eaves. A hip-roofed dormer is in the roof slope to the right. A datestone reading "DI/1694" with a dripmould is set above an infilled window with a wood lintel on the first floor of the right gable end. A central gabled staircase projection extends to the rear with a lean-to in the angle to the left. Formerly known as Lime Tree Cottage.
