Description
The Davis memorial and railed enclosure, located approximately 7 meters south of the chancel of the Church of St. Mary, is a chest tomb dating from around 1800. It is made of limestone and features a rectangular shape with a moulded plinth and capping, along with square corner balusters. The inscription panel on the north side is largely illegible as of the last survey in July 1987, while the south side commemorates the children of William and Sarah Davis, specifically Thomas and Mary, who died in 1799 and 1801, respectively. The memorial is set within a cast-iron square enclosure that has spear-shaped railings and urn-shaped standards atop a low stone plinth.
