Description
Church Cottage is a house that originated in the 17th century and was raised and altered in the late 18th to early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed rubble limestone and features a stone slate roof. There is a rebuilt rubble stone chimney shaft located between the right bays and a rendered chimney on the right side. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The windows are old wooden casements with horizontal glazing bars and slightly chamfered wooden lintels. The left bay and the upper storey contain 2-light windows, while the ground floor on the right has 3-light windows. Traces of former eyebrow arches can be seen around the upper windows. The interior was not inspected during the resurvey in 1986, but it is reported to have old fireplaces and ceiling beams.
