Description
This is a set of four piers with railings and dwarf walls, located approximately 40 meters to the west of Prospect House. They date from the early 19th century. The piers are made of limestone ashlar and feature unmoulded abaci and acorn finials. Between the piers are slender wrought iron railings topped with small spearhead finials, along with rubble stone dwarf walls. The central piers are connected by a stone lintel that supports a 20th-century board gate. There is also an attached wall that separates the garden of Prospect House from New Road; this wall is constructed of coursed rubble limestone and has a stone coping with a very slight monopitch.
