Description

This is an ice house located approximately 4 meters west of Hill Court in Tackley, believed to have been built between 1773 and 1787 based on map evidence. The exterior is made of coarsed local stone, while the interior features brick. The facade has a central gable above a plain square-headed opening, which is topped with a stone lintel. This opening leads into a brick vaulted and paved tunnel. Inside, there is a circular chamber with a domed brick roof and a stone floor.
