Description
Limekiln House and the attached outbuilding date from the mid-18th century. They are constructed from coursed squared limestone with ashlar dressings and feature Welsh-slate roofs with rubble-and-brick stacks. The building likely has a central-stair plan with a subsidiary range and is designed in a mid-Georgian style.
The main range is two storeys plus an attic and has a symmetrical three-window front. This taller section includes chamfered rusticated quoins, a moulded cornice, and ashlar storey bands. The windows are 12-pane sashes set in moulded stone architraves with projecting keyblocks. The central doorway, also framed by a similar architrave and topped with a moulded stone canopy, features a fielded six-panel door and an ornamental rectangular overlight. The steep-pitched roof has gable stacks.
To the right, there is a lower rubble range that extends in an L shape and partly serves as an outbuilding. The interior has not been inspected.
