Description

Bridge House is a 17th-century farmhouse built of rubble with a Cotswold stone roof and rubble end chimneys. The house is two storeys and has an attic, with two gabled dormers. It has three windows, with drips above them. Mullion windows are present on the first floor front and in the northeast gable; the outer windows on the front are three-light, with the centre window on the first floor being two-light. The ground floor has four-light casements, and a central glazed door under a wooden lintel. A two-storey and attic extension is present at the rear, along with a single-storey converted stable range set at a right angle. The interior has been altered, including the cross-passage and newel stairs to the rear. The northeast room features a fireplace with a timber lintel, while the southwest room has a fireplace with a cambered stone head and edge-bead. The rear room has deep-chamfered beams which have been recently sawn to allow for headroom.
