Description

The Old Forge is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century that was restored in the late 20th century. It is constructed from coursed rubble and features a Cotswold stone roof with end chimneys, one of which is made of ashlar. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. It includes chamfered mullion windows, with two-light windows on the first floor and three-light windows on the ground floor, as well as a small single light window on the first floor to the left. The central entrance has a ledged door topped by a 20th-century bracketed stone hood. To the left, there is a one-and-a-half storey extension that features one- and two-light mullioned windows, two slit windows, and a hipped dormer. The south gable has an extruded stepped chimney and a two-light garret window.
