Description
This is a limestone urn dating from around 1738, created by the architect William Kent. The urn features carved palm fronds and sits atop a moulded pedestal. It is part of the landscape gardens designed by Kent between 1733 and 1740 at Rousham Park. Rousham Park is recognized in the Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission Register of Parks and Gardens at Grade I.
