Description
The Lower Cascade in Venus' Vale is a Grade II* listed cascade built around 1738-1740 by William Kent. It is constructed from squared and coursed limestone featuring rock-faced rustication. The design includes a triple arcade with a pediment-shaped center and segmental-arched cascades. This structure is part of the landscape gardens designed by William Kent between 1733 and 1740. Rousham Park, where the cascade is located, is registered as a Grade I park and garden.
