Description
This urn, located approximately 10 meters east-north-east of the Palladian Gateway at Rousham Park Gardens, was created around 1733-1740 by the architect William Kent. It is made of limestone and features palm fronds, a Vitruvian scroll, and fretting. The urn is set on a panelled pedestal that has a moulded plinth and cornice. This urn is part of the landscape gardens designed by William Kent during the same period. Rousham Park is recognized in the Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission Register of Parks and Gardens at Grade I.
