Description
This urn, dating from around 1733 to 1740, was designed by William Kent and is located approximately 10 meters east-southeast of the Palladian Gateway at Rousham Park Gardens. Made of limestone, the urn features palm fronds, a Vitruvian scroll, and fretting, and is set on a panelled pedestal with a moulded plinth and cornice. It is part of the landscape gardens that William Kent laid out during the same period. Rousham Park is recognized in the Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission Register of Parks and Gardens at Grade I.
