Description

Duttons Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in 1836 or 1837 for the Dutton family. It is constructed of coursed and squared limestone with ashlar quoins and dressings, and has a hipped roof covered with Welsh slate. The house has a double-depth plan and is in a Georgian style. It is two storeys high with a symmetrical, three-window front. The front features a stone lintel over a half-glazed door with a trellised porch. It has stone lintels and ashlar jambs to six-pane sash windows. Stone lintels are also above 20th-century windows, and a blocked door exists at the rear. A two-storey bay window was added to the left side of the house in the mid-19th century. Inside, there are panelled doors and a marble fireplace with a cast-iron grate on the right side. The building is included on the list for its group value.
