Description

No. 57 Corn Street is a house from the early 18th century. It is built of squared and coursed limestone and features a gabled stone slate roof, along with a stone and early 18th-century brick stack at the right end. The house has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high, presenting a symmetrical three-window front. A timber lintel supports a 19th-century plank door, which is topped by a mid-19th-century bracketed flat hood. The windows have chamfered timber lintels and include mid to late 19th-century three-light casements, as well as a two-light casement above the door. The interior and rear have not been inspected but are likely to be of interest.
