Description
The green memorial is a chest tomb located approximately 1 meter south of the southeast corner of the south aisle of the Church of St. Mary. It dates from around 1737 and is made of limestone. The tomb is rectangular in shape, featuring a moulded plinth and gadrooned capping. Its Baroque decoration includes cherub heads with swags and garlands on either side of an oval inscription panel on the north side, and full figures of cherubs with swags on either side of an oval inscription panel on the south side. The ends of the tomb have heads of cherubs and drop garlands flanking square inscription panels, all of which are blank except for the east end, which commemorates Martha Green, who died in 1737.
