Description

The coach house and stable, located about 10 meters south of Lower Upton Farmhouse, date from the mid to late 18th century. The building is constructed of rubble with ashlar quoins and features a hipped Cotswold stone roof. It has a long rectangular shape, with a loft accessed by a double flight of tallet steps at the south end. The west front includes a stable door and a window to the left, a small roughly central window, and a small window to the right. Due to the slope of the ground, the lower floor is situated to the north. The interior retains its complete roof structure.
