Description
Barclays Bank is an early 19th-century roughcast corner building that was altered around 1900. It stands three stories tall with a low-pitched hipped slate roof and a large brick ridge stack. The building features a canted corner, with a two-window range on the north side and a curved corner that includes an entrance door. The east side has a canted one-window range and three additional windows. The windows have moulded architrave surrounds and flat cornices, with decorative elements added around 1900. The ground floor, dating from the early 20th century, includes panelled pilasters along with an overall frieze and cornice. The building is listed for its group value.
